  • I’ve had a BLOG Makeover!

    Thanks for coming to the Blog. As you can see there have been a few changes. It was important that I show what I love:

    The blog is full of my most recent sessions and posts from my personal life. You can now follow me on twitter and facebook with just one click thanks to the new blog links. There is updated information on sessions under the "details" tab in the menu. You can even book your session directly on blog! So many new things and such a little square to squeeze this all in! LOL

  • Name Mix up for Birth Photography:

    It was brought to my attention that several links on my website actually linked to another photographer. I am so upset that this happened and I wanted to make sure I set the record straight,

    Common word usage in web site names has created a world of mess for me. When I started naming all of my birth photos Nola Birth Photographer or New Orleans Birth Photography it was so that I could climb the google ladder. It was only natural that the domain I registered to highlight only Birth Photography used these words. I cannot begin to imagine the possibility of giving up something that I built (as far as names) but I'll figure it out.

    I'm only beginning to unravel how this happened and I just want you all to know that my work is only on sites where NICOLE ROME is the photographer....well unless it is pinterest in which case the link should point right back to this web site.

The M kids {LaPlace LA Child Photographer}

When this mommy called me I just knew that we were going to have a fun time. She had a ton of great questions and wanted everything to go just right. We decided on an early afternoon session and the weather was perfectly overcast. We meant at grandma’s house and her yard was just beautiful! It was Mr.A’s first birthday in a few days and we had a great time with a cake. Miss A was all poses so we spent a little while just getting her to play. Mom would have loved for Mr.A to smile a little more but he was just a little curious of the camera. I was told he gets this from daddy, hahaha. Thanks Again for letting me capture such a great time in your lives!

Precious Baby P {Belle Chasse, LA Custom Newborn Photographer}

How Precious is Baby P? Needless to say I didn’t have trouble coming up with his name for the blog! We did have a little trouble getting Baby P to settle down but that was only because he is 12 days old in these photographs. His mom was patient as ever but his loving big sister and brother did not understand why in the world this was taking so long!? LOL I have to say I think these are some of the most gorgeous photographs of an awake newborn I have ever taken. His dark hair made me squeal with excitement and I spiked it up a few times. Thank you mom for allowing me to capture these first precious days of your new babies’ life.

Cool Baby V {New Orleans, LA Custom Newborn Photography}

It just doesn’t get much better than a sleepy newborn and a summer breeze on a New Orleans porch. Cool Baby V gave me a little trouble at first but we just gave him a little extra time to settle down. Sometimes new moms are a bit caught off guard when I say session last from 2-4 hours but keeping the baby and mom happy is my first priority. We just relax and go with the pace of the day. Thank you to Baby V and his mom and dad!
